What we collect

HighCapDeals records basic click data when you follow a deal link to a dealer: the deal ID, dealer ID, product UPC, a hashed version of your IP address and user agent, and the referring URL if your browser provides one. We do not store your actual IP address or user agent in readable form, only a one-way hash used to estimate unique visitors.

We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic. Google may place cookies to track visitor behavior across sessions. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

If you apply to sell on HighCapDeals through our dealer signup form, we store the information you submit: business name, contact name, email, phone number, website, and any notes you provide, along with a hashed version of your IP address (never the address itself, same one-way hashing described above). This is business contact information, not consumer data, and it is used only to review and follow up on your application. It is visible to HighCapDeals staff in our admin system and is not shared with any third party. We retain dealer application records for as long as needed to evaluate and, if approved, onboard the dealer, and afterward for our own business records.

Affiliate disclosure

HighCapDeals is an affiliate marketplace. When you click a dealer link on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from that dealer. This does not change the price you pay. Commission never influences which deals we show. See our About page for more on how the site makes money.

What we do not do

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not share click data with any third party except the dealer you clicked through to (via the affiliate network).
• We do not collect payment information. All payments are handled directly by the dealer.

Cookies

HighCapDeals itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party scripts (Google Analytics) may set their own cookies. You can clear these via your browser settings at any time.
