- The POM AVD Lithium-Ion Fire Spray uses patented Aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion (AVD™) technology, a mineral-based fire suppression agent made from vermiculite suspended in water.
- AVD encapsulates battery cells with a heat-resistant barrier, cools the fire source, helps prevent reignition, deters thermal runaway, isolates fuel, reduces thermal propagation, and creates an oxygen-blocking barrier.
- The 500ml unit has a controlled stream delivery, up to 10-foot spray range, and approximately 10 seconds of continuous discharge.
- The AVD fluid is non-toxic and environmentally safe.
- The durable metal canister is manufactured in the USA in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility.
- AVD was tested for lithium-ion battery fire suppression, including 35 kV dielectric performance and NTA 8133 battery-fire testing in qualifying 6 liter size units.
