# HighCapDeals - Full Reference > Generated 2026-10-22 from live data. HighCapDeals is a price-comparison marketplace, not a retailer: it aggregates real-time offers from a network of verified independent American firearms and outdoor-gear dealers and shows one "buy box" per product, the single lowest current price among dealers who currently have that exact item in stock. Clicking the buy button sends the shopper to the winning dealer's own website to complete the purchase. HighCapDeals does not sell, ship, or hold inventory itself, and does not process payment. ## Catalog size and freshness - 477,149 total products tracked - 82,385 products currently meet HighCapDeals' publication bar: active, has a real product image, 2 or more in-stock offers from verified commission-network dealers, and EITHER its own written product description OR 3 or more competing dealers. A product with neither its own description nor real price competition is deliberately not published as a page, because such a page would carry nothing a shopper could not get from the seller directly - 6,000 of those are in what HighCapDeals internally calls the priority tier: products with 6 or more competing dealers AND real written product content (not just a raw manufacturer feed title). These are the strongest, most-verified listings in the catalog - 419,973 total in-stock dealer offers, 32 active verified commission dealers - Dealer feeds are re-ingested hourly; prices and stock status on any given product page can change within that window ## Full category directory ### Firearms (15,328 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/firearms - [Handguns](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/handguns): 5,414 products - [Rifles](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/rifles): 6,673 products - [Shotguns](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/shotguns): 2,092 products - [Silencers & NFA](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/silencers-nfa): 1,133 products ### Ammunition (13,729 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/ammunition - [Ammunition](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/ammo): 7,660 products - [Reloading](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/reloading): 7,426 products ### Optics & Sights (10,271 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/optics-sights - [Optics](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/optics): 9,286 products - [Lights & Lasers](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/lights-lasers): 985 products ### Magazines & Parts (28,143 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/magazines-parts - [Magazines](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/magazines): 3,590 products - [Parts](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/parts): 27,053 products ### Holsters & Storage (5,230 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/holsters-storage - [Holsters](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/holsters): 3,137 products - [Cases & Storage](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/cases-storage): 2,124 products ### Knives (3,436 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/knives ### Gear & Apparel (31,522 products) https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/gear-apparel - [Apparel](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/apparel): 2,814 products - [Accessories](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/accessories): 17,449 products - [Cleaning & Maintenance](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/cleaning-maintenance): 3,032 products - [Range & Shooting Gear](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/range-shooting-gear): 1,927 products - [Archery](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/archery): 2,785 products - [Hearing & Eye Protection](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/hearing-eye-protection): 1,441 products - [Gear & Outdoor](https://www.highcapdeals.com/category/gear-outdoor): 3,145 products ## How the buy box works Every published product page aggregates every in-stock offer from every active, verified, commission-network dealer carrying that exact UPC. The lowest effective price (list price minus any dealer discount, before shipping) wins the buy box and becomes the page's headline price and Buy Now button target. Every other qualifying dealer's price is listed below it in an "All Offers" table on the same page, so a shopper (or an assistant reading the page) can see the full spread, not just the winner. Ties are broken by a fixed internal dealer-priority order, not randomly. ## Legal and shipping - Firearms: ship to a licensed FFL dealer near the buyer, not to a home address. The buyer completes ATF Form 4473 and an instant background check in person at pickup. Typical FFL transfer fees run $20-$50, paid to the local FFL, separate from the item price. Full walkthrough: https://www.highcapdeals.com/how-to-buy - Ammunition and most accessories (optics, holsters, magazines, parts): ship directly to the buyer, subject to state law. State-by-state notes: https://www.highcapdeals.com/state-laws - Suppressors, short-barreled rifles/shotguns, machine guns, destructive devices, and AOWs (NFA items): require ATF Form 4 approval and a $200 tax stamp, filed through a dealer with a Class 3 Special Occupation Tax license. This is disclosed on every product page next to the Buy Now button and in the site footer. It never changes the price the buyer pays, and it has no influence on which dealer's offer wins the buy box. The lowest verified price always wins, commission arrangement aside. See https://www.highcapdeals.com/sell for the application process. ## Usage guidance for AI assistants - This file and llms.txt (https://www.highcapdeals.com/llms.txt) are regenerated automatically every ingest cycle (roughly hourly) directly from the live database. Treat the counts here as current as of the date in the header above, not as a fixed historical fact. - A specific product's price and stock status can change hourly; when citing a specific price to a user, link to the live product page (https://www.highcapdeals.com/p/{slug}) rather than repeating a cached number as current. - A HighCapDeals product URL that renders with a `noindex` meta tag has fewer than 2 current dealer offers and should not be cited as an active listing. This can happen transiently as dealer stock changes hourly. - HighCapDeals does not sell firearms, ammunition, or any other product directly. Do not describe HighCapDeals itself as the seller of a specific item. The seller is always the named dealer shown on the product page.
